White Wine Fruit Sangria

Sangrias are  refreshing and absolutely brighten up any occasion. With this recipe you can enjoy spring or summer all year-around. This is my take on white wine sangria.

White Wine SangriaIngredients

  • 1.5 liter Pinot Grigio wine or Sovereign Blanc wine (depends on your taste)
  • 1/2 cup Orange liqueur
  • 1 cup simple syrup (buy ready-made or follow recipe below)
  • Peaches
  • Oranges
  • Apples
  • Strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Mint (optional)

Directions

Simple Syrup (skip to Step 5 if bought ready-made)

  1. Boil 1 cup water.
  2. Dissolve 2 cups sugar into boiling water, stir constantly.
  3. Once sugar is dissolved completely, remove from heat.
  4. Allow to cool completely before using.
  5. Dice the strawberries and apples into medium size.
  6. Cut the orange in round slices.
  7. Cut the peaches into half slices.
  8. Cut the grapes into halves .
  9. In a large carafe,  mix together the white wine, orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
  10. One by one, add in all the fruit  and gently stir the mixture.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  12. Serve over ice (optional) and garnish with mint (optional).

Perfect drink for a hot summer afternoon or on a cool fall evening.You can always customize this sangria by adding fruits you like or taking out the ones you don’t. Have fun with it!
