Sangrias are refreshing and absolutely brighten up any occasion. With this recipe you can enjoy spring or summer all year-around. This is my take on white wine sangria.
Ingredients
- 1.5 liter Pinot Grigio wine or Sovereign Blanc wine (depends on your taste)
- 1/2 cup Orange liqueur
- 1 cup simple syrup (buy ready-made or follow recipe below)
- Peaches
- Oranges
- Apples
- Strawberries
- Grapes
- Mint (optional)
Directions
Simple Syrup (skip to Step 5 if bought ready-made)
- Boil 1 cup water.
- Dissolve 2 cups sugar into boiling water, stir constantly.
- Once sugar is dissolved completely, remove from heat.
- Allow to cool completely before using.
- Dice the strawberries and apples into medium size.
- Cut the orange in round slices.
- Cut the peaches into half slices.
- Cut the grapes into halves .
- In a large carafe, mix together the white wine, orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
- One by one, add in all the fruit and gently stir the mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Serve over ice (optional) and garnish with mint (optional).
Perfect drink for a hot summer afternoon or on a cool fall evening.You can always customize this sangria by adding fruits you like or taking out the ones you don’t. Have fun with it!
